slvr is designed to be low maintenance. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, lay flat to dry, and avoid bleach or harsh chemicals. That's it.
For best results, wash with other delicate items and avoid washing alongside rough or heavy clothing such as jeans, towels, jackets, or anything with exposed zips, Velcro or sharp hardware, as these can catch on or damage the silk.
If you want extra protection for the silk, a delicates bag works well. Our slvr laundry bag is made for it, but any mesh bag does the job.
A few other things worth knowing: avoid direct sunlight when drying to preserve the colour, and if you iron, use the lowest heat setting on the inside of the fabric.
Because of the silver ion technology, you only need to wash every couple of weeks rather than every few days. Less laundry, same clean surface.

Mulberry silk is a natural protein fibre that regulates temperature better than polyester satin, which tends to trap heat. Most people find it cooler than satin and less irritating than cotton. If you're prone to sleeping hot, silk is typically the better choice.
Because the silver keeps the surface cleaner between washes, most people wash it weekly rather than every 2–3 days like a regular pillowcase. Adjust based on your routine, but you won't need to be as obsessive about it.
Yes. Cold wash, inside a laundry bag, with a mild detergent. Lay flat to dry. The slvr laundry bag is designed specifically to protect the silk during machine washing, so no hand washing required.
Any mild, fragrance-free detergent. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, and anything with harsh chemicals. If you've already been using fragrance-free detergent on your pillowcases, you're already set.

I recently purchased multiple SLVR pillowcases and couldn’t be happier. The customer service was fast & helpful when I wanted to change my colour choices after ordering. Then instantly I noticed the quality and thickness of the silk is strong and the zipper is a perfect bonus. But the real test for me was how would they wash after my teenagers and I put multiple creams & lotions our faces before sleeping which stain the cases. Answer? Perfectly! Thankfully my hair isn’t frizzy and my skin has no pillowcase marks in the morning either. Super soft, high qy, easy to wash & dry and a couple of shakes after washing also means no ironing. 10/10!

I simply ADORE these pillow cases! It’s my second set of Slvr (after 2 prior sets of other silk) and nothing compares! Super silky and smooth and I’m going to have to start taking them with me when I travel now I think… I hate sleeping without them! Oh, and they last so after a wash! I always wash my face just before bed and wear a sleep cap, but honestly they last me 3 weeks… and even then can barely decide if they need to be washed! 3rd pair may be on the horizon for me!
